Our organization began in 1994 when the United Way came to Salem community leaders with their Success By 6 initiative. The combined efforts of these community leaders resulted in the development of programs and services designed to meet the needs of families with young children in the Greater Salem, NH area. Early programs included Parenting Workshops and Parenting & Play Groups. Salem Family Resources-Success By 6 is incorporated and maintains a 501c-3 status.
Our Board of Directors is comprised of prominent citizens in the greater Salem community including the Salem School District Superintendent, parents, early childhood educators, representatives from children’s services agencies and the business community. Several of our Board members are original to the 1994 Success By 6 initiative, and have served continuously since that time.
