Melissa LaRocque

Executive Director

Melissa went to the University of NH for her bachelor’s degree and Roger Williams University for her master’s degree.  Melissa has been working in child welfare serving roles since 2008 and has spent more than fifteen years in the nonprofit sector.  Over her tenure in these settings, Melissa has advanced in leadership roles that supported children and families healing from circumstances of abuse, neglect and trauma primarily in residential care. Melissa also worked in the state of NH’s child welfare system early in her career and collectively gained an appreciation for the resiliency of families and what is needed to support families succeed. Melissa began as the Executive Director of Salem Family Resources in January 2025 and is excited to be on the side of prevention focused work and family strengthening. Melissa now lives in Auburn NH with her husband and two children and remains passionate as a parent to help support other parents and children thrive through her work.

Amy Stahl

TLC Early Learning Director

Amy Stahl, the dedicated Director of TLC (The Learning Cooperative), an early learning center of Salem Family Resources, brings 24 years of experience in early childhood education. With a strong foundation in education and hands-on experience in roles such as assistant teacher, lead teacher, child development specialist, and director, she is passionate about creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young learners. Her background also includes work in special education and as a nanny, giving her a well-rounded perspective on child development. As both an educator and a mother, Amy understands the importance of a child's first school experience and strives to make it a positive and inspiring journey. She is committed to fostering a love of learning in children while supporting families in their educational journey. Under her leadership, TLC provides a warm, enriching, and developmentally appropriate space
where children thrive.

EJ Albin

Director of the Play Space

EJ is the Director of the Play Space. A former educator with over a decade of experience in the classroom, EJ transitioned into this role after the birth of second child. She loves getting to work with children and support teachers in a new way, while still spending time with her two boys. EJ graduated with her M.Ed from the University of New Hampshire in 2013 with a degree in Teacher Leadership and a specialization in Literacy. An avid lover of nature, EJ enjoys camping with her family, snowboarding, and nature walks. She spends most of her time with her growing family, her husband, two boys, a baby on the way, and their dog Marty.

Barbara Foye

Director of Family Support Services

Barbara has a MAT from Simmons University and a BA in Graphic Design from The Art Institute of Boston. Barbara has worked for nonprofits for the past 10 years. Early in her career Barbara taught at an after school program and had her own home-based childcare business. She worked as an administrative assistant in the nonprofit sector. One of her many passions is to volunteer at food pantries and animal shelters. Her other passion is to help families succeed. Barbara resides in Salem with her husband, David, and their
2 house rabbits. Her hobbies include knitting, gardening, hiking and yoga.
