What's Next?

There are exciting days ahead for Salem Family Resources. After a period of transition following the passing of SFR's beloved founder Cindy Jury in 2021, the agency is now looking to the future. We seek to develop and implement new initiatives, while enhancing our existing core programs (TLC, Parent Play Groups, and Resource and Referral).

The Board of Directors and staff are eager to broaden and deepen our positive impact on the lives of both young children and older youth, through targeted support of their families. Ultimately, SFR seeks to become certified as a New Hampshire Family Resource Center of Quality by the end of 2024.

Programs and services to be launched in 2023 – 2024 will be in response to confirmed community needs, and could include:

• Babysitting Classes

• Family Fun Events (such as movie nights, ice cream socials, and a family Badminton Blast or Mush Ball Tournament)

• After-School Services and Support for Older Youth

• Kinship Navigator Services

• Teen Mental Health First-Aid Training and Certification

• Quality Youth Development Community Certification
